Author Deb Allard with Christian publisher CrossRiver Media

Deb Gardner Allard has been a Christ addict, book addict, humor addict, and romance junkie for many years. She cherishes sharing these passions with like-minded people at church, writing conferences, and even in stores when lines are too long. Talking with strangers is easy for her because she’s only had roots in two places during her life. When her husband moved her from the rolling farmlands of her home town in Maryland, she quickly settled down near a beachy resort town that harbors Lake Michigan. After more than twenty-five years in the Mitten State, she’s finally learned to adjust to the frigid snowstorms. But every spring, she looks forward to an exciting summer at the ocean-like lake, which is free of sharks and jellyfish.

Brian entered Deb’s life years ago, but she admits to paying a steep price for marrying him. He and their three kids have kept Deb laughing until her abdominal muscles scream for mercy. Begging them to stop never helps. Her family is also determined to stay together. They traveled the U.S. for twenty years until Brian retired from the Navy. Today, she credits her quick-witted adult children, their spouses, and her eight comical grandchildren, for keeping her up-to-date about young people in the 21st century.
