Rose Hill Cottage

Kathy Nickerson

After the death of her young husband, best-selling novelist Nora Kimble escapes New York for a summer cottage in the Ozarks on the pretense of writing her next book. She hopes to leave behind her nagging mother, her ambitious literary agent, and her own pressing sorrow. Instead of the private retreat she hoped for, she finds a stranger living in the cottage, a librarian with a penchant for baking brownies, and a convenience store clerk who never puts her cell phone down. All of who refuse to let her grieve alone.

If this is your introduction to the church ladies known as the Glory Circle Sisters, welcome to their world. Come along with Nora as Bess explains that we can’t skip ahead in the hard parts of life. “No cutting in line. You have to walk right through it feeling every single paving stone under your toes.”
