They are looking for stories from people that have been affected by abortion. It could be from women that have had one themselves, the father, grandparents, friends...anyone. Contributors are encouraged to talk about how God has restored, redeemed and freed them from the trauma of abortion. The book will be written in a non-condemning way, instead full of grace and love.

Author Candace Pope is accepting submissions for a compilation of true stories from people who have been blessed and comforted by God through animals and nature, especially after loss (death of a loved one, divorce, health, earthly possessions).
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
- Story length 900 to 1500 words.
- First-person narrative.
- If your story is selected, you will receive a free book upon publication.
- If your story is of a sensitive nature, such as related to divorce or financial loss, and you wish to remain anonymous, we can discuss that option as well as the changing of names.
- Author Candace Pope will edit every story for consistency and style, but will not change factual information. You must be willing to allow edits.
- The stories should be more unusual than simply how our pets provide companionship and comfort (although they certainly do). For example, one story is about a red-tailed hawk that paid several visits to a mom who had lost her 31-year-old son. That particular kind of bird was his favorite, and she sensed God assuring her that her son was with Him and doing fine.
- While no specific deadline has been set, Ms. Pope suggests submissions be sent by mid January.
Based on Psalm 103, God’s BenefitPackage devotions remind readers of all the amazing things our Heavenly Father does for his people - from his compassion and mercy to his unfailing love and healing power.
We are looking for first-person, true stories of times in your life when God has proved faithful to his divine nature as described in Psalm 103 - whether it be forgiveness, healing, compassion, patience, or any of the other ‘benefits’ listed in the chapter.

- Deadline for submissions is December 30, 2011.

- Please include a brief bio to be included with the devotional.
- Word count should be between 500 and 1000 words.
- Topics include but are not limited to God’s forgiveness, healing, life-saving power, justice, compassion, mercy, patience and father-like nature. (Please see list of benefits in Ps. 103.
- You may submit original or reprinted work, however if it is a reprint, please tell us where it was published and assure us you own the reprint rights.
- We will edit selected stories for clarity, consistency and style. We will not change factual information. If you are unwilling to allow edits, please do not submit.
